LTV: Residual Income vs. Linear Income - II

Saturday, September 29th, 2007

The Difference Between Linear Income and Residual Income

More then 90% of people around the world are accustomed to the source of income known as Linear Income: trading time for money. For that reason most people are not financially independent. Linear Income, also known as work income, means you receive a paycheck based on how much work you do. You need to put in certain number of hours every week. When you stop working, your income stops. Linear Income requires continued work.

Residual Income is different. It is the most powerful and profitable source of income. Residual Income is the    … † † > >

How to Make Passive Income with Affiliate Programs and Joint Ventures

The secret to hands off passive income is based on recurring sales like subscription products and can make you a lot over time with little effort. When you sell recurring billed products you can earn
money in addition to just the original transaction increasing your return on effort. I’ll show you how!

The best kinds of affiliate program product sales involve recurring commissions, which means once you make a sale you continue to earn commissions month after month without any further work. That’s
passive income!

What’s so Good About LTV (Long Term Value) - I

Saturday, September 29th, 2007

What is the Long Term Value (LTV)?

Buy low, and then sell it for higher. That’s the name of game in this or any other business. And billionaires are made with that simple premise.

“The only thing that paying for traffic really guarantees is … that you’ll be spending money! It’s all about getting the CONVERSIONS! “You want to spend as little of your money as necessary, while making as much as possible in return.” ——-X———

Keywords: The Rich Jerk’s Trademark Tactics - IV

Saturday, September 29th, 2007

The Rich Jerk recently revealed results from his Adwords account and from the Top 29 performing keywords used to promote “The Rich Jerk” (and there were thousands in the list) you can see just how much the Trademark name accounts for. Analysis shows that:

o The 5 variations of “rich jerk” accounted for almost a third of sales (29.7%) with a CTR averaging 13%.

o The top performing keyword which accounted for 1/5th of sales was “rich jerk”. No surprise there then…

The Truth About Trademarks - III

Saturday, September 29th, 2007

Go for Trademark Terms like product names, product no’s, company names, etc and keep an eye out for hot products about to launch so you get in before they peak…

To be clear on this issue - bidding on a trademark term to run your ads using it is not the same thing as bidding on that term and then INCLUDING THE KEYWORD term IN YOUR AD.

You can get away with that in places - and you should wherever possible (see the Copy chapter), but M$N and Google can, and do, disable ads until the trademarked term is removed - sometimes    … † † > >

Keyword Testing Time: Less is More, or More is Better? - III

Saturday, September 29th, 2007

Trademarks & Testing Time

When starting with a new product it’s often recommended to allow for just 60-100 clicks before assessing. I think that’s too low as it doesn’t allow for a statistical deviation i.e. beginners [bad] luck, especially if something should convert at 100:1

I usually allow 500 clicks, sometimes even 1,000, if I’m really keen on the product, as campaigns can sometimes just get off to a bad start. So if budgets allow for it then it’s best to be on the safe side and not to kill a good product too soon. There’s been times where I’ve    … † † > >

Keyword Bidding Strategies: Position 1,2&3 are Best, Unless… - II

FIRST MOVER ADVANTAGE

The “first mover advantage” plays a big part in this business. When a new merchant launches an affiliate program I quickly research the sector to see where the revenue opportunity is at. If it suits my criteria then a landing page is set up and some “enquirer style” ads go live ASAP.

By moving fast I get high conversion rates for my ads (aided by the lack of competition) which helps when all the other affiliates pile on board because having a good conversion rate then keep my ads at the top of Google and (and at lower    … † † > >

Keywords: The Biggest, The Baddest, The Best - I

“Focus entirely on the money keywords and leave the scraps of the low rent district for everyone else. Make sure you get that …”

This tactic forms the core of my PPC profits and when combined with the kick ass retaliatory tactics discussed in the Bitch Slap section you’ll soon see why.

Unfortunately, most people trying to break into this business waste enormous amounts of time employing the wrong tactics. In attempting to pursue their goal of success in the Pay-Per-Click world, they totally miss the mark.

How so?

Simply, by putting way too much time and effort into keyword    … † † > >

The Major Drawback ALL Forums & Membership Communities face is…

Friday, September 28th, 2007

It’s a curious fact that, for some people at least, sharing all sorts of valuable information and secret knowledge in forum communities seems to be a natural, every-day occurence.

I’m still often surprised just how much people will share with complete strangers, whose names, let alone faces aren’t even known to them.

But lets face it; these generous souls in cyberspace are often few and far between. And its not that people won’t share the good stuff, it’s just that you need to take care of a few bases first.

What the Big Fish know that Small Fish Don’t

I was pointed to James Brausch’s blog when he’s got this gem:

“The trick is to get your ego out of the way. There is NOTHING in your business where you are critical. If there is, you can never enjoy freedom. You are enslaved to your business. ”

Ever found yourself feeling overwhelmed with all the tasks it takes to keep your business just ticking over, let alone trying to grow it?

Forget everything you know about marketing!

Wednesday, September 26th, 2007

The rules have been changed forever and thanks to new technology, i.e. the Internet. Marketing as you know it has never been easier (or maybe harder, or maybe just different…)

Before you throw out everything though, let’s get one thing straight - Words, as in the message, have never been as important.

So putting the right words in the right place, in the right order, at the right time is what will ultimately dictate your overall success, or subject you to decisive failure.

That said, how you deliver, measure and tweak your marketing efforts has been changed forever.

Why Mike Filsaime is Full of Sh*t

Wednesday, September 26th, 2007

Yes, building solid business fundamentals into your online business can definitely help you achieve ongoing success, but that’s not what got you excited about IM in the first place, was it?

No, you got into this because you weren’t too interested in the corporate world in the first place, right?

You didn’t want the 9-5, the stuffy office, and the hassles of pleasing staff or team members any longer.

You wanted to be able to harness technology and put it to work for you as part of your automated income stream while you F-off to the beach or wherever.
